Works at Gloucestershire CCG as Associate Director of Self Care, Prevention and Diabetes. Originally qualified as a State Registered Podiatrist working in London as High Risk Co-ordinator leading on diabetes and rheumatology. Over the last 20 years, have held a number of senior NHS commissioning roles working with Local Authority, private, voluntary sector and public health. Our project, which Help Force is supporting, is to reach out to people with diabetes who don't engage with our statutory services, live in areas of high deprivation with the poorest diabetes outcomes. Our project is working with 2 of our 6 district councils and uses a community builder approach. The project will also create a network of volunteers of people with a lived experience of diabetes to help support others.
