How to break down barriers for young deaf volunteers

22nd July 11:00am - 12:00pm

It's important that volunteering services provide the right support to their volunteers to ensure volunteers can have the best experience while volunteering at the organisations. However, the support for young deaf volunteers is still little, mostly because of a lack of awareness of volunteers' needs. If you have deaf volunteers in your team and would like to learn what else you could do to help them thrive, this is the webinar for you.

The webinar will be run by representatives from the National Deaf Children’s Society, who will cover the following topics:

  • Barriers that young deaf volunteers face when volunteering for the NHS
  • How volunteering service managers can play the key part in breaking down those barriers
  • How young deaf volunteers can make a difference to the NHS, and
  • How volunteering services and clinicians can work together to provide a supportive environment for young deaf volunteers
