In celebration of the 38th National Volunteers Week, the NHS Health Education England National Volunteering Unit are hosting a webinar dedicated to the NHS Ambassadors programme. The programme aims to inspire future generations to consider a career in healthcare and is supported by thousands of NHS staff who volunteer their time to support activities such as career insight talks, career days, mock interviews, CV support and mentoring. The impact of the programme was highlighted in the ‘NHS Ambassadors: How you’ve helped over 400,000 young people’ report published in July 2021.

The webinar is taking place on Monday 6th June, 14:00-15:00 and is being led by Professor Mark Radford, Chief Nurse and Deputy Chief Executive Officer, NHS Health Education England and will be supported by the National Volunteering Unit, Education and Employers, NHS Ambassadors and a participating school. The webinar is an opportunity to find out more about the programme, to celebrate the benefits of volunteering and find out how you become an ambassador. The webinar is for NHS employees or volunteer leaders, representatives who recruit and manage volunteers as well as senior leaders from NHS organisations and is a refresher on the programme or onboarding for anyone looking to join the programme.
