I hope this is OK to post here, but please do delete if not.

Volunteering in hospice and palliative care during and beyond COVID-19

Volunteers are integral to the way that palliative and hospice care are provided. However, we already know that the way they are deployed has changed during the COVID-19 pandemic. We are keen to find out more about this change so that we can help organisations plan better how to deploy volunteers in the future. We would be delighted if you could help us to disseminate this important survey.

We are happy for you to circulate the link to the online survey, which is hosted on a secure platform. This survey has received research ethics committee approval from the Faculty of Health and Medicine at Lancaster University, and is being managed in conjunction with the European Association of Palliative Care volunteering taskforce. The link to the survey, which we are asking volunteer managers or leads from hospices or specialist palliative care services (hospital, community etc.) to complete, is found here https://lancasteruni.eu.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_37zuryU4RCDLHVk.

If you have any questions about this survey, or its management, please don’t hesitate to contact Professor Catherine Walshe, Lancaster University (c.walshe@lancaster.ac.uk).

With many thanks,

Catherine
