If it helps to get some inspiration or ideation going then we had an amazing story from Sheffield Medical Society - https://bit.ly/3upuw96 who helped their local NHS Trusts. But, I suppose it would be good to also discuss or explore the inequalities youngsters face around having the opportunity to volunteer or gain experience within a health and care setting.

Thanks Sally, engaging young people and allowing them opportunities to have a purpose is vital. Resources for youth engagement has declined over the years and we need to see how we can build this back up again.

Yes please. I would love to be part of this group. It would be good to connect with others who are focussing on developing youth volunteering. My role is to increase the opportunities for young people to be involved, especially those from minority backgrounds.

I'd be interested in this please, particularly on engaging young people and students onto a progressive pathway for sustainable employment.

I would also be interested - we currently do not have any youth volunteering in our organisation and I would like to develop this.

Hello all
We have received a number of requests recently for resources relating to youth volunteering and we know that this area of volunteering is growing rapidly.
Would anyone be interested in joining a special interest group focusing on this topic? If so please reply to this thread so that we can gauge interest - if people are keen we can start the ball rolling and set up a dedicated area on Connect.
