I would be very interested in joining this group. We are currently scoping a strategic approach across the SYB ICS and looking to develop a framework to include skills and work experience passports etc. We are involving amongst others schools in this scoping action, ensuring we realise the issues faced within their environments and represent the needs of young adults while using a population health focus to secure funding etc.

But, I suppose it would be good to also discuss or explore the inequalities youngsters face around having the opportunity to volunteer or gain experience within a health and care setting.

Thanks Sally, engaging young people and allowing them opportunities to have a purpose is vital. Resources for youth engagement has declined over the years and we need to see how we can build this back up again.

Yes please. I would love to be part of this group. It would be good to connect with others who are focussing on developing youth volunteering. My role is to increase the opportunities for young people to be involved, especially those from minority backgrounds.
