Really looking forward to seeing how this service develops. I think the demand for volunteers is only going to increase due to Covid -19 and increasing need to work more closely with the Integrated Care Systems.

We have got to have the right resource to manage these growing numbers . Hence getting insight and impact measurements in place is vital to get the investment that is needed .

Thanks for your post Mandy, and for your help reviewing and developing the service so far.

I agree - I think there is a great opportunity in the years ahead to better establish how volunteering supports the recovery of the NHS and how it reforms around ICSs. But to do so we need to ensure volunteers are in roles that have a quantifiable impact, such that volunteering gets the investment it needs. We hope that this service will help volunteering managers with this change.
