Volunteer Settle In Service

The Settle in Service can provide patients, specifically those living alone and have no friends or family with a visit from a volunteer to help settle them back in to their own environment.

Volunteers can help with tasks including:
• Small food shop
• Making a cup of tea
• Making a small meal
• Unpacking bags
• Clearing out old food from the fridge
• Making the bed
• Checking the heating and electricity
• Checking for trip hazards
• Emptying the bins
• Offering companionship
