Michelle and Jenny - a dynamic volunteer duo

This couple volunteer for Marie Curie as part of the Volunteer Response Team. Rhianne worked with the Stars Team to provide this dynamic duo with their first call to action; deliver PPE to partner agencies across Liverpool. Firstly, they had to split supplies into distribution packs before they could be on their way. Successfully delivering to one but finding the other closed; this amazing pair said, ‘not to worry, we will try again tomorrow!’. The delivery of these supplies allowed nurses access to the correct PPE to continue caring for people in need.

The next mission was negotiated between the Day Therapy Team and the Volunteering Development Officer. It was decided a virtual afternoon tea party would be held for Day Therapy patients, with boxes of cakes and sandwiches to be delivered to seven homes across the south of the city before the online event at 11am. Rhianne knew only too well who could help. Once again they collectively went above and beyond to make this happen with Michelle and Jenny creating an amazing video ‘Mission Cake Dash’.
