Sheila started to raise funds over 20 years ago with the aim of raising over £100,000, a figure which she has surpassed.

She attended all Willowbrook Hospice’s major fundraising events to sell fun items for the benefit of Willowbrook, i.e. glow sticks and headbands at their MoonLight Walk. Sheila and her team made a fantastic Christmas Grotto with Father Christmas for the children to visit each year and always thought of new and interesting fundraising ideas. The team also manned their own craft stall outside one of the hospice’s cafes, selling knitted goods and craft goods, which they made for Willowbrook on their own initiative and at their own cost.

During the pandemic, Sheila and her team of volunteer fundraisers have been very busy, making and selling beautiful cloth face masks to raise more funds for the Hospice. Sheila and her team have made over 300 cloth face masks for both the hospice’s staff and volunteers and to sell.
