Our Back to Health campaign
The Covid-19 pandemic shone a light on the power and potential of volunteers in health and care organisations. Millions provided incredible support support to people shielding and to the national vaccination rollout.
Although we've made it through the worst of the pandemic, we now face another crisis. Health and care staff and services are being stretched to breaking point, with increasing demand and significant workforce shortages. There are huge backlogs for routine operations, with a waiting list estimated at 5.6 million people (as of October 2021)
Volunteers must be a key part of the solution, helping the country recover faster and stronger. We're working tirelessly with our partners to involve volunteers and help bring the country back to health. Failure to maximise the proven power of volunteering would be a major missed opportunity.

Insight & Impact
"For our organisation, joining the Back to Health campaign as a partner is a complete no-brainer. Not only have we received great support from the Helpforce team to help us realise the great impact of volunteering on our patients and staff, but they have also given us a platform to voice our support for volunteering in health and care. I urge more health and care organisations to join this important campaign to maximise the huge power of volunteering.”
