Helpforce Champions awards

These Awards, kindly sponsored by Deloitte, were held on the 8th November 2018, and we had a wonderful afternoon celebrating and sharing the diverse contributions made by volunteers across the country. It was exciting to be able to shine a light on those who give their time and talents to help staff in our NHS, and support patients and families and carers at a vulnerable time.

Outstanding Volunteering Team of the Year – Frimley Park Hospital, Emergency Department volunteer team
Young Volunteer of the Year – Louise Munro, Royal Voluntary Service, Cumbria
Volunteer of the Year – Janet Thornhill, Shropshire Community Health NHS Trust
Outstanding Staff Champion for Volunteers – Pauline (Liz) Charalambous – Nottingham University Hospitals Trust
Volunteer Leader of the Year – Mandy Cleaver, Sussex Community NHS Foundation Trust
Partnership Working in Volunteering – The Royal Free Hospital School, The Royal Free Charity
Innovation in Volunteering Award – the late Roy Williams, Oxford Road Campus, Manchester University Trust
Celebrating Inclusion and Diversity in Volunteering – Sapphire Service, Sandwell and West Birmingham NHS Trust
