Helpforce chosen to take part in global strategy challenge

HELPFORCE has been selected as one of the six UK charities to be part of the 2021 Strategy Challenge, a pro bono volunteer programme run by Morgan Stanley to support non-profit organisations to address their mission-critical challenges.
The programme will see experts from the global financial firm provide the charity with their strategic recommendations to help the organisation continue to maximise its impact into the future.
Mark Lever, CEO at Helpforce, said: “We’re delighted and privileged to be part of this wonderful programme. Our charity, which was established four years ago, has been working extremely hard to accelerate the growth and impact of volunteering in health and care, promoting volunteering within NHS leadership and helping address a number of national challenges, such as: lack of investment in volunteering services, the need for more data and evidence to demonstrate the impact of volunteering on patients, staff and volunteers, and building a strong network to bring the sector together.
“Throughout the pandemic, we have been working closely with volunteering service leaders in the NHS and integrated care systems to help them respond to Covid-19. We were able to support hundreds of volunteering service leaders in acute and community settings and integrated care systems to quickly access the right help and information to get volunteers on board quickly and develop new volunteering initiatives to provide better outcomes for patients.
“As we emerge from the worst impact of the pandemic, our ambition is to continue to champion volunteering in health and care as we believe it is essential to delivering better health and care in our communities. The support from Morgan Stanley could not be better timed as we embark on this journey to achieve our ambition.”
