She has gone the extra mile a countless number of times for the hospital to the point where we have had to coerce her into taking time off for her own good!

Paula hit the ground running at a time when Covid-19 reared its ugly head, eliciting the Trust’s PROUD values every step of the way. She covered the width and breadth of the hospital, whether she was distributing food parcels to front line healthcare clinicians in Red Zones or engaging with patients, some of whom had not been out of bed for days on end, assisting in feeding them.

As far as hours of volunteering go, she has racked a mind-boggling 1,000 hours since she has started volunteering with us in February this year. This is an amazing achievement.

We all appreciate being recognised and valued – especially more so if one’s undertakings are done out of the goodness of their own heart. As such, I am nominating Paula Logos, as interim volunteering manager of West Middlesex University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, for going the extra mile.
