A new initiative between St John Ambulance and NHS England NHS Improvement has seen the charity working with 20 NHS Trusts across the country, where St John Ambulance places their trained volunteers into Emergency Departments to alleviate the pressure and demands on frontline workers.

Following the success of the initiative, St John Ambulance is now looking to work with 30 more Trusts. If you are now standing down your volunteers, but you feel that volunteers from St John Ambulance can provide that extra help to your Trust, this could be a great option to look into.

Please find attached the brochure to learn more about the programme and how to make a request.

Also attached are some testimonies from Trusts who are working with St John Ambulance volunteers.
