Anne-Merete has been a volunteer for 15 years

Anne-Merete Free has spent 15 years sending out copy letters to all of the patients at Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust, and this can be in excess of 200 per week just for Breast Surgery alone. In addition to this, she has also undertaken similar work for the surgical and Obs & Gynae secretaries.

Without Anne-Merete’s support, this would have a huge impact on staff workload as it takes considerable time to fold and envelope every letter. She is always happy to run errands and do whatever she can to be of assistance and save time for clinical staff wherever possible. She has spent many years volunteering in the Outpatient Department, where her bubbly personality helped put patients at ease and created a less stressful visit for them.
