Dining companions welcomed back to Salford Royal wards

In the last 12 months, the amazing dining companions at Northern Care Alliance NHS Foundation Trust have supported patients during mealtimes at Salford Royal Hospital, Working on 7 wards, from elderly care to stroke and trauma patients, they provide assistance to feed patients and give invaluable companionship. They have over 80 dining companions, all of which provide over 2,000 hours each month; their work has also provided staff with a much-needed morale-boost after the difficulties of the last few years.
