The Dietetics team would like to nominate Lisa Morgan, who has been working with us to help with stock organisation at the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital.

Covid -19 has had a massive impact on our patient’s nutritional status so the right nutrition is vital to aid their recovery and to allow them to become stronger and return home. Some patients are unable to meet their nutritional needs through diet alone so Dietitians often recommend tube feeding, where a tube is placed into the stomach via the nose, to allow them to receive a prescribed enteral feed. Some patients may be prescribed oral nutritional supplement drinks alongside their dietary intake.

During Covid-19, we needed to change the way we work to meet demand and capacity. Lisa has supported the Dietetics team weekly to ensure a smooth delivery of vital enteral feed and oral nutritional supplement stock to the wards. Lisa always arrives with a smile on her face, has a ‘roll her sleeves up’ attitude and nothing is too much trouble.

Lisa has great initiative, gets on with the job in hand and we feel assured that her work is delivered to a high standard. It has been an absolute pleasure working alongside Lisa during this difficult time.

Thank you Lisa for all your hard work, you truly do represent all the Trust Values and we appreciate all that you have done for the Dietetics team!
