Marion is an amazing volunteer

Marion helps with patient experience and she also supports end of life patients. She also supports the team and myself personally, and is always there for a kind word or a chat if we ever need it. I think as co coordinators it is so important that we have the kind of support that Marion brings.

She is also part of the settle in service here in the hospital and will always step in when needed to support this new role.

Marion is a kind, generous and thoughtful lady with a wonderful personality and an amazing spirit; she really does deserve to be recognised for all the help and support she brings, not only to patients but to all the staff.

Marion has often been called on at the last minute. Due to the reception team being short staffed she has stood in with another volunteer at the very last minute, even though this is not her usual role. She will always support the team and do any role that we need her to step into.

She is a great listener when supporting end of life patients and will go above and beyond helping not only the patient, but also the family that are there to support.

On a personal level when I get to support her and chat with her she is fantastic, and will always listen and support us co coordinators; I always call her my second mum.

Marion is a huge credit to voluntary services.
