Gary Moran and Keith Ritchie, our wonderful CPFT Volunteers have supported various volunteering functions, but specifically our charitable work. They have both been a phenomenal support during the Covid-19 pandemic, and we, Emma Judd and I have been able to rely entirely on their support, kindness and generosity; nothing has been too much to ask. I don’t think we’ve ever heard a “no, I don’t think I can do that” from them!

Gary and Keith have offered their wisdom and guidance to new volunteers and helped out last minute when no one else could. They are reliable, hard working and a great asset to our volunteer community.

As active members of the community and an advocate for supporting the NHS, we knew that both Gary and Keith meant it when they asked if they could support us.

As the dedicated NHS Charity for Cambridgeshire and Peterborough NHS Foundation Trust, Head to Toe has spent the past six months supporting our patients and NHS staff through the most difficult period in NHS history.

Thanks to the support of people like Gary and Keith we have been able to help provide urgent welfare support, emergency funding and vital wellbeing initiatives for our patients and those who care for them.

At the height of the pandemic, Gary and Keith were on the road delivering charitable items received by the trust across the county to staff. it didn't matter how far and wide they had to travel they did so without fail - This energy and desire to do good is a wonderful thing to see and is certainly contagious!

As a mental health and community NHS Trust, it’s particularly important that we have such passionate ambassadors advocating for some of our region’s most vulnerable. Gary and Keith's response to delivering charitable gifts across the county has helped many people within our care through the most challenging health crisis in modern times, and they have been integral to the much needed help to boost morale with their can-do attitude and warm heart.

I am so happy to report that they have both found positive movements in such difficult times. Keith has gone on to become a member of our temporary staff and Gary has continued his volunteering support by becoming a member of our public forums to support the Trust in becoming the best that we can be.
