Hello everyone,

The National Learning Hub for Volunteering has been live since February 2020. The ‘hub’ was developed to consolidate learning resources and links to free courses for volunteers and those working with volunteers. The National Volunteer Standards which were developed by VSMs and volunteer coordinators are available on the hub for volunteers to complete. These ensure that volunteers are safe and effective in their volunteer role and have also been used in some organisations as part of the onboarding process. There is a section for those working with volunteers which includes a self assessment tool to help determine learning needs; links to courses and a range of resources.

Have you registered and had a look at the site? Have your volunteers registered? What do you think of the site? What would you change?

Best wishes

Kim Liggins
