The Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) will reduce its fees on 6 April 2022.

The Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) has announced it will lower the costs for enhanced, standard and basic certificates from 6 April 2022. From this date, employers will pay the charges as below for certificates.

The DBS has seen an increase in demand for its products since the start of the pandemic, helping them to a budget surplus. Managing Public Money (MPM) requires the DBS to make neither a loss nor a surplus, and to review its fees annually.

Due to the surplus, the DBS has made the decision to reduce the costs of it products.
