I had seen in a recent Tweet from WCVA (Welsh Council for Voluntary Action) that they have initiated their programme, as I'm sure many others have across the UK. But, it's always good to see what other countries are doing: https://wcva.cymru/volunteers-supporting-vaccination/

Hi both, it seems that our organization has been a main provider for these vaccinations and we have had to recruit 400 volunteers in 9 weeks to deliver this support at 5 large vaccines sites.
And we thought Covid-19 was a challenge!
best wishes

@Mandy CleaverWow, that's an impressive number! How did you manage to recruit so many volunteers in 9 weeks? And what duties do they carry? Do they get to administer the vaccine too?

Hello all
If anyone is running a large-scale vaccination programme and is having to cope with mass recruitment and onboarding of new volunteers (400 and rising) @Mandy Cleaver would love to hear about any processes you have put in place.
If you can offer any support or share your experiences with Mandy please do get in touch.
Many thanks all and best wishes,
Sally

@Sally Williams
Thanks Sally and Vy, yes we have recruited 460 volunteers in 9 weeks and would be good to hear from anybody else that has gone through this...
The roles are for stewarding and volunteer coordinators , so the coordinators look after the stewards so to speak, undertake site inductions and refer to volunteer manager where necessary for support.

Hi everyone,
Understanding that many of us are interested in vaccine volunteers, so I have created this thread for this purpose. Please feel free to share your experience in mobilising volunteers to support your Trusts' vaccine programme, any challenges or questions that you want to ask your colleagues!
