Hear in Your Community (Audiology) Volunteer
Aneurin Bevan University Health Board
To support people with hearing loss in the community by running hearing aid maintenance clinics. To work alongside other sensory services where patients have hearing and other sensory losses. Volunteers must be available for at least 2 hours a month and be able to travel independently to the agreed clinic base and to training locations.
Some of the duties are:
To support people with hearing loss in the community by running hearing aid maintenance clinics
To work alongside other sensory services where patients have hearing and other sensory losses
Make patients and visitors welcome and to direct them to the department or service they require
To reassure anxious patients or relatives and help answer general (non-clinical) queries
Assist patients in ensuring that suggestion / comments reach the appropriate staff / manager
Providing patient information and other materials where needed
