Aims:

To provide practical, personal and emotional support to Lymphoedema patients.

Main Tasks:

  • Preparing and maintaining resources, equipment and clinic / treatment rooms.
  • Supporting delivery of Lymphoedema treatment (including application / removal of bandages / compression garments, washing limbs and application of skin care, recording patient height, weight and limb measurements, talking to patients in clinic).
  • Providing basic administrative support.
  • Ensuring that infection control principles are demonstrated at all times including use of PPE.

Personal Qualities:

  • Excellent interpersonal skills – sensitivity, openness, warm and friendly manner and able to develop rapport with a diverse range of patients and colleagues
  • High level of communication skills
  • Confident IT user
  • Reliability and punctuality to ensure the smooth running of the service
  • Ability to work within relevant organisational frameworks and codes of conduct (info will be provided)
  • Well organised, motivated and enthusiastic
