I think @elizabeth-pollard was going to use Assemble soon, so maybe she can share some insights on why she decided not to use her internal system? Also, @anita-butterworth did mention that she was using Trac on one of our virtual meetings, Anita, would you be able to share with Kat your opinions on using Trac? Thank you

Thanks for referring to me Vy – happy to help if I can. Kat and I had a chat about this a short while ago – it seems quite a number of us are looking at ways to streamline our volunteer processes at the moment! To be honest, we didn’t consider using our internal system, but preferred to opt for dedicated volunteer management software instead. We felt it would enable us to keep all of our volunteer data ‘in one place’ ie. recruitment, training, placement, as well as allowing us to keep in touch with our vols and vice versa. We anticipate being able to upload our Trust’s induction and other training packages to the system. We originally considered Better Impact but our Information Governance Team wasn’t keen so, as Vy says, we opted for Assemble instead, which is currently on order…watch this space! I hope this helps in some way though. Kind regards, Elizabeth

@Elizabeth Pollard hope you are well. Just wondering how you are getting on with Assemble? I have a demo next week but would love to know how you are finding it?
Thanks.

Hi Kat,
We use TRAC currently to recruit our volunteers. We had been using Health Rosta to manage and schedule volunteers, however this wasn't a popular system and we're in the process of migrating over to Better Impact to enable this to happen. I'm not the one in my team with all the TRAC knowledge, but my team would be happy to discuss if you want to contact them? Our inbox is khft.volunteering@nhs.net and you can address it to Sharon McEwan, Volunteering Service Manager.
All best

Hi everyone, not sure if this is in your interest, this is the link to the Government page where it provides full information about Assemble. Many thanks to @Marcy Madzikanda for sharing the link with us :) https://www.digitalmarketplace.service.gov.uk/g-cloud/services/623015059504823

Hi everyone
Thank you to @Marcy Madzikanda for sharing her research findings while searching for a new management system.
This information has now been transferred on to our comparison table and can be found under Resources.

Hello Everyone,
I am hoping to hear from anyone that are currently using their Trust systems (that are designed for staff) to manage their volunteers. We currently use a predominantly manual process to recruit and manage our volunteers. We very much need an end to end management system and I had been looking at Assemble. I firstly have to look at our inhouse options before going externally.
It has been suggested that we use Trac for our recruitment, the Electronic Staff Record for our database (which in time will link in with our E Learning system), and E Rostering for rota management. Does anyone have any experiences or advice they would be happy to share with me regarding the use of these systems or similar when recruiting and managing volunteers.
Do you find that your Volunteer Service department it very much integrated within your Trust and their systems, or is there a reason that you may be doing things locally as a department?
Thank you in advance,
Best wishes,
Kat
