Bedside trolley service Volunteer
Purpose of the role: Taking the news and sweet treats to the patients on the wards.
Responsible to: Volunteer Services
Department: Volunteer Services
Hours / days: weekday mornings from 9.30am
Number of volunteers per shift: 2
Key tasks:
- Visiting the patients on the wards with a trolley full of goodies & staff in Theatres
- Cash handling / card machine
Skills and experience:
- Excellent attention to detail
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, and able to work as part of a team
- Good listening skills
- Sensitive and tactful nature
- Confident about approaching patients
- Understanding of personal and professional boundaries
- Physically able to push a small laden trolley
