Bedside trolley service Volunteer

Purpose of the role: Taking the news and sweet treats to the patients on the wards.

Volunteer Services

Department:
Volunteer Services

Hours / days:
weekday mornings from 9.30am

Number of volunteers per shift:
2

Key tasks:

  • Visiting the patients on the wards with a trolley full of goodies & staff in Theatres
  • Cash handling / card machine

Skills and experience:

  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, and able to work as part of a team
  • Good listening skills
  • Sensitive and tactful nature
  • Confident about approaching patients
  • Understanding of personal and professional boundaries
  • Physically able to push a small laden trolley
