This role involves:
- Welcoming and introducing group members to the online group
- Facilitating conversation and discussion
- Watching patients as they exercise and highlighting any issues to the group lead
- Phoning patients between sessions to motivate and encourage them
This role would suit people who:
- Enjoy conversation and meeting new people
- Can be sympathetic and understanding of patients’ needs
- Can use their initiative as well as working under direction
- Have excellent listening skills and a positive approach
- Have an interest in supporting those with long term conditions
