This role involves:

  • Welcoming and introducing group members to the online group
  • Facilitating conversation and discussion
  • Watching patients as they exercise and highlighting any issues to the group lead
  • Phoning patients between sessions to motivate and encourage them

This role would suit people who:

  • Enjoy conversation and meeting new people
  • Can be sympathetic and understanding of patients’ needs
  • Can use their initiative as well as working under direction
  • Have excellent listening skills and a positive approach
  • Have an interest in supporting those with long term conditions
