Nominate someone special to say a big thank you

Top tips for writing a strong nomination for the Helpforce Champions Awards

1. Dive straight in

Quickly tell us why your nominee is outstanding. This could be a short opening statement that briefly summarises why the nominee is special. The statement should outline the contributions the nominee has made and how his/her/the team’s efforts have been helpful. Once you’ve hooked us in, we’ll want to keep reading to find out more.

2. Keep it simple

Avoid jargon so it is easy for the judges to see how the nominee is deserving of the award.

3. Evidence is everything

Tell us about their achievements and how they have gone the extra mile. Provide as many examples as you can, this can include figures and statistics showing the impact of their work. Testimonials from other people will show how widely this person is valued.

4. Proofread and check

It’s always a good idea to ask someone to read through your nomination as they can identify gaps, and help with any editing that it may need.

5. Take your time

Give yourself as much time as you need to get it right. Write your nomination on your own document first, and only when you are completely happy with it, copy it into our online form and press submit. Try and avoid submitting on the final day in case everyone else is and the system overloads.

Nominate
