The estimated cost should an ambulance have attended is £77,845.47 in productivity gains (n= 290 CFR calls resulting in non-ambulance attendance. Based on National Schedule of NHS costs in which the average cost for an ambulance call out where the patient is ‘seen, treated or referred’ is £268).

Return on investment for the volunteering pilot is estimated to be 60% (based on finance team estimated ROI calculation and pilot costs of £48k).
